Mont-roig del Camp is a town and municipality in the comarca of Baix Camp, Catalonia in Spain. It is in the middle of its comarca, between the Serra de Colldejou and the Mediterranean. It includes two populated places: the historic town of Mont-roig del Camp in the interior, whose economy revolves round the cultivation of nuts and olives, and the beach resort of Miami Platja on the coast, the Costa Daurada.

High above the town on a very eroded outcrop of rock stands the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rock with the Sant Ramon chapel. The painter Joan Miró spent long periods at the family property of Mas d'en Miró, in the Les Pobles district, from 1911 onwards. It was a frequent subject in his early paintings, such as The Farm (1920-21) and The Tilled Field (1923-24).[3]

The sanctuary of Mare de Déu de la Roca, a hermitage that was already mentioned in 1230, is located on a beautiful square high above the surrounding landscape. The sanctuary is a chapel with a single nave and small side chapels, constructed from parement blocks, partly dug up the rock. The chapel has a large choir with a special image of the Virgin and Child. The image of black wood has eighteenth-century characteristics. Tradition says that the original statue, destroyed in 1936, was found by a shepherd under a palm tree.
At the foot of the sanctuary stands a small blind bell tower.

The Santuari de la mare de Deu de la Rocais easily accessible by car from the T-322, or on foot via various paths, such as the GR-192, a section also called Camino Viejo de la Ermita. If you take it, you will reach Mont-roig in about a 25-minute walk.
The chapel is currently part of the 3MR tourist route (Mirar, Miró, Mont-roig).

The Costa Dorada, the Golden Coast, is one of the most popular coastal areas of Catalonia. This coast is known for its fine, golden sandy beaches, clear waters and beautiful natural landscapes. The interior is slightly less known. There are many beautiful nature areas, each with their own specific characteristics. The Reserva Natural Llaberia extends into the hinterland of Cambrils and the even more southern Miami Platja.
From 1910, Juan Mirò had a beautiful country house in the Montroig area. The environment would continue to inspire him.

The Reserva Natural Llaberiat is a beautiful nature park that will satisfy both hikers and sports climbers.
